The Tennessee Titans sign OT Adam Terry

Blogged under Bloglockers,Breaking News,Free Agent Additions,General by admin on Tuesday 16 August 2011 at 2:49 pm

The Titans have signed 28-year old OT Adam Terry.  Terry played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Jaguars and Chargers last season.  He has now played in 50 games (18 starts) in his first five years in the NFL.  Terry will provide the Titans nice depth on the offensive line because he’s capable of playing either tackle or guard.  This was a nice signing for the Titans.

UPDATE:  (9/4/2011) – The Titans have released Adam Terry.

The Tennessee Titans sign safety Anthony Smith

Blogged under Bloglockers,Breaking News,Free Agent Additions,Front Page,General by admin on Tuesday 9 August 2011 at 9:11 pm

The Titans have signed 27-year old safety Anthony Smith.  Smith played in 7 games for the Jaguars last year and he had 22 tackles, 1 interception and 1 pass defensed.  He has now played in 63 games in his first five years in the NFL and he has 165 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, 16 passes defensed and 7 interceptions.  The Titans hope that Smith’s game catches up to his trash talking, because if that happens the Titans will have a Pro Bowl safety on their hands.

The Tennessee Titans sign G/T Pat McQuistan

Blogged under Bloglockers,Breaking News,Free Agent Additions,Front Page,General by admin on Monday 8 August 2011 at 7:19 pm

The Tennesse Titans have signed 28-year old G/T Pat McQuistan.  McQuistan played in 16 games (8 starts) for the Dolphins last year.  He has now played in 56 games (8 starts) in his first five years in the NFL.  McQuistan’s versatility will likely help the Titans’ O-Line in 2011.  I like this move for the Titans.

UPDATE:  (9/3/2011) – The Titans have waived Pat McQuistan.

The Titans have lost 24-year old CB Ryan Mouton for the 2011 season as he has torn his right Achilles tendon in practice.  Mouton played in 9 games for the Titans last year and he had 11 tackles and 2 forced fumbles.  Mouton has now played in 23 games in his first 2 years with the Titans and he has 35 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 1 tackle for a loss.  Mouton was likely going to get a shot to play more in 2011, but that’s out now.

The Tennessee Titans re-sign fullback Ahmard Hall

Blogged under Bloglockers,Breaking News,Front Page,General by admin on Tuesday 2 August 2011 at 5:27 pm

The Titans have re-signed 31-year old fullback Ahmard Hall to a 1-year deal.  Hall played in 16 games (4 starts) for the Titans last year and he carried the ball 1 time for 1 yard.  He also caught 15 passes for 100 yards (6.7 avg) last year.  Hall has now played in 73 games (33 starts) in his first five years in the NFL and he has carried the ball 18 times for 56 yards (3.1 ypc).  He has also caught 64 passes for 515 yards (8.0 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  Hall is like having another guard in the backfield for Chris Johnson, so he has to be happy with this signing.

The Titans have re-signed 28-year old DE Jacob Ford to a 1-year deal.  Ford played in 14 games for the Titans last year and he had 42 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble.  Ford has now played in 43 games in his first three years with the Titans and he has 90 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 15.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 2 passes defensed.  It was smart of the Titans to bring Ford back as he is a solid player.

The Tennessee Titans sign TE Daniel Graham

Blogged under Bloglockers,Breaking News,Free Agent Additions,Front Page,General by admin on Tuesday 2 August 2011 at 12:35 am

The Titans have signed 32-year old TE Daniel Graham to a 3-year, $8.5 million dollar deal.  Graham played in 16 games (all starts) with the Broncos last year and he caught 18 passes for 148 yards (8.2 avg).  He has now played in 126 games (110 starts) in his first 9 years in the NFL and he has caught 222 passes for 2,465 (11.1 avg) with 24 TD grabs.  Graham could wind up being the Titans’ starting TE this season, but I’m not so sure that is a good thing.
