The Tennessee Titans hire Mike Munchak
The Titans have hired 50-year old Mike Munchak to be the new head coach. He was inducted into Pro Football’s Hall of Fame after playing 12 years on the offensive line for the Houston Oilers (he made the Pro Bowl 9 times). Munchak was the Titans’ quality control assistant in 1996 before graduating to the offensive line coach position. He was the Titans’ O-Line coach from 1997-2010 which covered 14 seasons. The Titans will likely run a lot of the same stuff that they did under Jeff Fisher going forward. Munchak offers them a tough new head coach who likely won’t put up with much off the field junk. I like this hire for them as it’s important to reward coaches for their loyalty and hard work within an organization.
