The Tennessee Titans lose CB Nick Harper
The Titans have lost cornerback Nick Harper for the next 4-6 weeks after he broke his right forearm in last night’s game against the Colts. He is third on the team with 38 tackles and he has defensed 2 passes this season. It’s hard to say how bad this will hurt the Titans who were already awful at defending the passing game even with a healthy Harper. 22-year old CB James McCourty will replace Harper in the starting lineup while he is out of action.

The Titans have been awful this year but the injuries keep piling up, especially to the secondary. Vincent Fuller and Cortland Finnegan are out along with Harper. That’s their two best cornerbacks and their best safety. Coach Jeff Fisher has stated that Finnegan is day-to-day with his hamstring injury, but even if he does play I don’t think he will be very effective with a bum hamstring (and hamstrings are so easy to injure even more when playing on them hurt). A bewildered Fisher half-joked about his depleted secondary, saying he would go with five-wide receivers every play if he were playing his team.
