2. (62) Sen’ Derrick Marks, DT

The Titans might have reached a bit here but Marks does have a good upside if Titans’ coaches get him motivated in the weight room.  Marks has freakish speed off the snap but he isn’t overly strong for a lineman.  Marks is 6′1″, 300 pounds so he could probably add some sand in his shoes.  Marks played in 40 games (37 starts) in his 4-year career at Auburn and he made 114 tackles, had 30 tackles for a loss, made 7.5 sacks, batted down six balls, forced 2 fumbles and he recovered 4 fumbles.  If the Titans think that Marks is ready to step in for the departed Albert Haynesworth they are badly mistaken.

1. (30) Kenny Britt, WR

The Titans decided to take the best player on their board in the first round and that was WR Kenny Britt who could earn a starting job with the team in his rookie season.  Britt is a good run blocker and he has a great set of hands.  He is the all-time leading receiver in the Big East despite leaving after his junior season.  Britt is a big guy at 6′3″, 215 pounds but he runs a 4.55 40.  Britt played in 34 games (31 starts) in his 3-year career with Rutgers and he caught 178 passes for 3,043 yards (17.1 avg) with 17 TD grabs.  This was a outstanding pick for the Titans as Britt might be the best all-around WR in this draft.

The Tennessee Titans have signed 30-year old QB Patrick Ramsey to a 1-year contract.  Ramsey played in 1 game for the Broncos last season and he completed 2 of 3 passes (66.7%) for 19 yards with 0 TD passes and 0 INTs (84.0 QB Rating).  He has now played in 37 games in his NFL career in which he has completed 511 of 913 passes (56%) for 5,930 yards with 35 TD passes and 30 INTs (74.9 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 47 times for 89 yards (1.9 ypc) with 2 TD runs in his career.  Ramsey will serve as the #3 QB on the Titans this season behind Kerry Collins and Vince Young.  This was a smart move by the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans sign CB DeMarcus Faggins

The Titans have signed 29-year old cornerback DeMarcus Faggins to a 1-year contract.  Faggins played in all 16 games for the Texans last season and he made 28 tackles and defensed 2 passes.  Faggins has now played in 82 games in his NFL career and he has made 217 tackles, defensed 36 passes, has 1 sack, forced 3 fumbles and he has 5 interceptions (1 returned for a TD).  This was a good signing for the Titans as Faggins is a solid player.
