The Titans surprisingly let safety Calvin Lowry go.  Lowry played in all 4 preseason games for the Titans this year and he had 14 tackles, had 1 sack and he defensed 1 pass.  Lowry played in two seasons for the Titans covering 32 games (11 starts) in which he had 68 tackles, defensed 10 passes and he intercepted 2.  The Titans might wish that they kept Lowry down the road.

The Titans decided to only go with 2 QBs this season (Vince Young and Kerry Collins) which allowed them to cut Ingle Martin.  Martin completed 13 of 25 passes this preseason (52%) for 185 yards with 0 TD passes and 0 interceptions (76.2 QB Rating).  He also carried the football 6 times for 18 yards (3.0 ypc) in the preseason.  The Titans also cut kicker John Vaughn who looked pretty good this preseason but he wasn’t going to overtake Rob Bironas.
