The Titans go into the bye week with a 2-1 record having outscored their opponents 64-46 so far this season. Vince Young is proving that his rookie season was not a fluke as he has completed 42 of 67 passes (62.7%) for 426 yards with 3 TD passes and 2 interceptions (83.3 QB Rating). He also has carried the ball 21 times for 96 yards (4.6 ypc) with 1 TD run. The running backs are also off to outstanding starts as Chris Brown (247 yards) and LenDale White (180 yards) are leading the way for the Titans who are averaging 173.7 yards rushing per game this season. The biggest improvement has been in the receiving corps as Brandon Jones (10 rec, 136 yards) and Roydell Williams (7 rec, 109 yards) are both stepping up.

The defense is really improved this season. The Titans are only allowing 63.3 yards rushing per game (3.5 ypc) and they have held opposing QBs to a 69.1 rating. If the Titans continue to get this kind of effort from the defense, they will be in the playoffs this season.

Basic recognized English – this is my qualm. Case in point: Quarterback Vince Young is asked if the Titan will make it to the playoffs, with many experts saying nay. His response “can’t nobody tell me nothing”. What exactly does that mean. This is coming from a individual that gradutated from an esteemed college ‘Texas’. I’m at a lost here folks. When assuming the high profile positiion of starting QB for a NFL team you accept certain responsibilities; one of which is the ability to speak proper, recognized english – not eubonics — sorry. Vince – take some of that inflated salary and invest in a public relations manager that can actually recognize your weak areas and protect you from yourself. And how in the Hell did you graduate college level english – oh I guess it is similar to this weeks schedule; you recieved a bye. Learn how to speak; or don’t speak at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably didn’t have to even go to class at Texas. His major was football, period. You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to play in the NFL.
