The Tennessee Titans could have a battle for the kicker position
The Titans would prefer to go with Rob Bironas who did a decent job for them last season but he had two surgeries in the off-season including one to a knee. He will have to prove he’s healthy in the pre-season to beat out undrafted rookie John Vaughn for the job. Bironas made 78.6% of his field goals last year and he also converted all 32 of his extra point attempts finishing with 98 points last season. Bironas was very accurate on kicks 39 yards and under as he hit 17 of 18 of them but he was only 5 for 10 on kicks of 40+ yards.
Bironas has now played in 32 NFL games and he has scored 197 points for and average of 6.2 points per game. He has made 45 of 57 (78.9%) of his field goals and 62 of 64 extra points. Look for Bironas to easily win the starting job if he’s healthy.
