The Tennessee Titans re-sign DT Marcus White
The Titans have re-signed Marcus White despite the fact that he hasn’t played a game in his two seasons for the Titans. Hopefully White does something this season to earn his paycheck.

Defensive lineman Tony Brown played in 13 games for the Titans last season and he made 33 tackles, had 1.5 sacks and recovered 2 fumbles (1 for a TD). Brown is a good football player and a solid reserve for the Titans. It was smart of them to re-sign him.
Bryan Scott will serve as a backup safety and he will be on a lot of the special teams for the Titans. He played in 9 games last season for the New Orleans Saints and he made 15 tackles and forced a fumble. This was a good signing for depth but the Titans need to make a big splash and bring in some big-time players soon.
The Titans finally spent some money but it’s hard to figure out what they were thinking. The Titans gave MLB Ryan Fowler a 4-year, $11.5 million dollar contract to lure him away from the Dallas Cowboys. That seems like a lot of money for a player that only had 24 tackles in the 16 games he played last season.
The Titans also signed WR Justin Gage. Gage played in 8 games for the Chicago Bears last season and he only caught 4 passes for 68 yards (17.0 avg). He has been an underachiever his whole NFL career so I wouldn’t expect him to do much in 2007 for the Titans.
Signing Nick Harper was a great move for the Titans as it weakens the Colts and strengthens the Titans. Harper played in 15 games last season and he made 75 tackles, had 3 interceptions and defensed six passes. Harper is equally as good against the run and the pass so he should be an impact player for the Titans.
